People carry cardboard boxes to and fro – more and more – the Barcelona alley now cluttered. Tourists and locals watch till open boxes line the shop and cafe fronts.
The boxes’ contents are delicately removed and placed on the pavement. A lighted match solves the mystery, a glowing wick ignites the shadows. Before long there's a rolling sea of tea-lights, way down the length of the alley.
Students dart this way and that, fine-tuning to some grand plan, deftly placing each flickering light. Others follow, lighting those having spluttered and died.
